Greatest Band of All Time?

In your opinion, what band is the greatest of all time?

I'd nominate Metallica, The Who, and Led Zeppelin to start.

Part of me hates putting Zep in there, because Zeppelin wins everything related to 'best ____ of all time'. But the other part of me says 'Well yeah, because they're amazing'.

I also think Guns'n'Roses could be on the list. Appetite for Destruction is one of the greatest albums of all time. There are 4 or 5 songs on that album that within seconds of you playing, almost ...

Who's your favorite band?

Simple question. Which bands out there are your favorite. I'd love to hear some people list bands I've never heard of, so I can check them out. My punk selections are a tad limited, and I'm always looking for new stuff to listen to.

For me, my first would be Flogging Molly. Though they're not true "punk", they do have punk elements and influences. I like the way they are able to blend Dennis Casey's three chord progressions and bouncing bass lines from Nathen Maxwell with Bridget ...

Folk Metal!

Does anyone else out there absolutely love this sub-genre?

I'm talking about the bands like Korpiklaani, Moonsorrow, and Finntroll. Bands that mix the power of metal with the beats and sounds of traditional folk music. It makes you want to get up and dance, not just bang your head.

I have two albums by Buju Banton, a few Greggory Issacs CDs, Peter Tosh, Bob and Ziggy Marley. But that's about all I know of. If anyone knows some other good Reggae bands/singers, post them up!
